WSIB has changed the names of the First Aid Courses as well as the content for all of Ontario.
As of June 22,2026 Emergency First Aid will now be called Basic First Aid, the Standard First Aid course will be called Intermediate First Aid. This is a change from WSIB and these names will now be the standard.
If you have a certificate with the old name it will still be valid as long as the certificate has not expired. After June 22,2026 all course and certificates will be issued in the new names.
There are changes to the course and the first aid, we will update you on the big changes in June so you will have the important news even if you will not need a renewal for 3 years.
Please register on the course with the old name and we will transfer you over to the new course on June 22.
